The Siren

Purpose:
Description: Use rectifier 1 to drive DC motor of siren. Blow by means of foot bellows. Various frequencies available by pushing buttons with relative frequencies marked on them. Top set of buttons: 9, 12, 15, 16. Lower set which can be locked "on": 8, 10, 12, 18. For major common chord: 8, 10, 12, 16. For minor triad use: 10, 12, 15. The instrument was originally called the Siren (sirčne) because it could produce sounds under water (and thus might have been capable of seducing the shipmates of Ulysses).
