Purpose: A micrometer screw-gauge is a tool used to make fine measurements.
Description: An object is placed between the screw and the calliper. The screw is wound down until it closes firmly on the object. The ruler underneath provides an estimate of the measurement. A cylinder has finer delineations to achieve very accurate measurements. A large model is present to demonstrate this tool.
