Purpose: Shows self-inductance.
Description: Two standard LRC circuits exist. Use a frequency generator to produce alternating current of various frequencies. An oscilloscope measures the potential difference in the circuit. Show that the voltage is at a maximum at a certain frequency. This is the resonance frequency of the circuit. One of the circuits has a variable capacitor. Show the effect of changing the capacitance on the resonance frequency.
