Purpose: Demonstrates hysteresis.
Description: Hysteresis loops for various specimens can be displayed on a cathode-ray oscilloscope. The X-deflection indicates magnetising current in the coil into which the specimens are inserted and is thus proportional to H. Y is the integral of the rate-of-change of flux through a secondary winding, and is thus an indication of B.
