Purpose: Shows the compressibility at the critical point.
Description: Experiment of Cagniard de la tour. C02 under pressure in a sealed glass tube. Hold in front of projector and warm gently by calorimeter of warm water (caution do not have water above 40C). As temp passes 31C, the meniscus disappears and upon cooling reappears again. Note the "critical opalescence" near the critical point, due to large fluctuations in density. At the critical point, compressibility tends to infinity.
