Purpose: Produces extremely high voltage build-up.
Description: Hold a discharge tube near to the coil and it can light up form a distance. Some ‘toys’ that look similar to discharge tubes but with only one terminal light up in a similar way when help near to the coil. These can be found in a box next to the Tesla coil.
