Purpose: Shows the magnetic field of a bar magnet.
Description: This shows the magnetic field of a bar magnet, or of two bar magnets placed parallel or anti-parallel. A glass plate stands on 3 cork feet. Place it over the magnet or magnets. Sprinkle iron filings on top of the plate and tap the plate gently.
