Purpose: Demonstrates concepts in electrostatics.
Description: Included are the following:
a) A box of small paper fragments. Show that a charged rod (Perspex or Teflon) will first pick up the fragments and then repel them.
b) "Butterfly" - small pieces of metal foil. Pick them up on a charged rod and then shake them off. The rod will repel the butterflies, which can be kept floating. A rod of the opposite charge can be used to capture them again.
