Purpose: Shows cooling by evaporation.
Description: Small beaker containing ether to a depth of about 2cm. Stand in a puddle of water on a block of wood. Using a foot bellows with a rubber tube attached, blow into the ether until it has all evaporated. The beaker will be found to be frozen solid onto the wood and also covered with frost.
